Creating Energetic Spaces – What does your Home/Space represent?

The energy that we inject into our personal spaces – both consciously and unconsciously – effect and, over time, shape our energy systems into set patterns.

I would prefer to move away from the polarised ideas of positive vs negative and ask you to contemplate energy as a neutral charge. Energy is coloured by our perception, experience and opinions rather than being good or bad – perhaps, if we perceive something as intrinsically good or bad, we, as energy-based life forms, have the ability to change how ‘external’ energy interacts with or influences our system. This interaction feels like the charge of energy is positive or negative.

I would ask you to come to the concept of energy representations in your personal/home space with this less dualistic outlook – how can we create space that is better aligned to who we are and who we want to be? How can we release energy imprints (perceptions) that are no longer serving and replace them with energy imprints that support our growth? The simple answer is to Love more and Fear less, but alas, much is lost in the space between idea and creation/action. Here, I offer some simple and fun ideas on how to fine-tune your energy by working on your space, whilst you work on the bigger ‘love/fear’ equation.

Let’s start by looking at the energy representations of each room in the home:
ø Lounge – The boundary between public & private self; Freedom; Space
ø Kitchen – Nourishment (body, mind & spirit); Healing; Transformation
ø Passages (doors) – Opportunities, Relationships (new); Attitude
ø Bathrooms – Purification, renewal or cleansing; Instincts/Urges; Toilets – release of Emotion
ø Study – Work/Life balance; Efficiency; Productivity
ø Bedrooms – Hidden/Private self; Sexuality; Intimate Nature
ø Patio – Openness to life; Mental/Spiritual merge; Social self (how you portray yourself to others)
ø Garden – Nurturing; Spiritual self; Growth & new skills

Features of interest:
ø Windows – Perception; Hope; Possibility; Intuition
ø Roof – Barrier between the two states of consciousness

Now, yes, today – is the time to take a walk through these spaces and see them again, through energetic eyes: are they bare, cluttered, disorganised, bright, dark, ‘lived-in’, neglected? How do these spaces make you feel, in terms, of what they represent? Do you come into this room/area daily? Do you enjoy the ‘feel’ of the space?

How can we uplift, move, change or redirect any spaces that no longer represent or align to our personal energy or the growth/evolution we aspire to? Let’s look at a few easy ideas:

o Spring Cleaning: An all-out dust, vacuum, declutter, curtains, doors and windows – A quick and efficient way to spruce up and uplift the energy of any room/space. Don’t forget to check the corners and roof!
o Salting doorways & corners: A super absorbent aid, SALT, assists in absorbing any energetic residue left in a room – after a get-together, family meeting, arguments and/or high emotional discharges. Throw that salt away after 24hrs – one use only!
o Adding energy: The most aesthetically pleasing way to change and uplift the energy in a space/room is to add colour (pillows, throws, ornaments, candles); natural elements (plants, water, fire, fans); add, or update the scents (aromatherapy, incense); and/or use music to change the way you interact with the space – dance, sing and create a vibe! (L.L)
o Energetic Room/Aura Sprays: Using specialised energy /room sprays to set the energetic tone – a good spritz, daily or as needed, not only allows dust particles and free-form energy to be grounded but creates a intentional space for meditation, sleep or work.
o Crystals and/or Crystal Grids: Crystals or specific Crystal grids are a gentle, yet, powerful way to move or change the energy of a room – choose your crystals according to the mood (energy) you would like to hold in that space. Cleanse your crystals regularly to ensure the best resonance and flow!
o Smudging (Herbal): We smudge a space to cleanse and clear all of the energy imprints/build up in a space. Smudging is a powerful format, used when coming into a new space (home or office), during times of transition or when a space has experienced a trauma – consider a professional smudging session a complete energetic reset.

With the ‘how’ covered, let’s play with some easy ideas to access specific results.

Struggling with perspective or feeling stuck? Time to get those windows washed & cleared for better clarity! Looking to create new opportunities in your life – wash down those doors with your favourite essential oils and crystal waters. Flip the script or narrative of a specific space (or aspect of your life) by bringing joy and laughter to spaces that feel too serious or no longer ‘fit’. (NM) Feeling like external energy or the world is invading or encroaching? Fix those leaks in the roof or cleanse the celling boards. Feeling depleted or needing some spiritual guidance – get into your garden (or create one!).

Above all else, trust your intuition and have fun with your space and a reminder that your desk is also your space, even in a shared space.

  • There are actually quite a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That may be a nice level to bring up. I provide the thoughts above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you convey up where an important thing will probably be working in trustworthy good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged round issues like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly recognized as a good game. Each girls and boys feel the affect of just a moment’s pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
